Gustavo's bail application to continue on Tuesday

The bail application of Ricardo Gustavo will continue in the Windhoek Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Gustavo, the suspended Investec manager, is one of the people accused of spearheading a fishing rights scheme that generated kickbacks of at least N$150 million (US$10 million) that has seen two former ministers behind bars.
Magistrate Johannes Shuuveni will continue to hear the bail application of just one of the Fishrot accused on Tuesday.
Lawyer Trevor Brockerhoff, assisted by Florian Beukes, represented Gustavo while advocate Cliff Lutibezi represented the State.
Gustavo was arrested in November 2019 together with five others, known as the Fishrot 6, by Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) following media exposing alleged corruption in the fishing industry.
Gustavo is one of the prime accused with former Justice Minister Sacky Shanghala, former Investec manager James Hatuikulipi, businessman Tamson Hatuikulipi and former Fisheries Minister Bernhard Esau, and five others who remain residents of the Windhoek Correctional Facility pending court proceedings and further investigation.
