NBC REWARDS PAID-TV TV LICENSE HOLDERS FOR 2011-2012
WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA, Thursday, 2 February 2012 – Namibia public service broadcaster launched an innovative competition aimed at rewarding fully paid-up TV License holder for 2011 to end March 2012 at its head offices. Although only a few partners we announced this morning, the list of partners and prizes on offer are expected to grow exponentially over the next few weeks and as the competition unfolds.
“The 2012 NBC TV Licence Competition is an encouragement to NBC viewers and TV set owners to pay their TV licences. More so, it is an initiative for members of the public to keep their TV licence payments up to date,” said Alex Shimuafeni, the Chief Commercial Officer of the NBC on Thursday, 2 February at the launch of the national broadcaster’s latest initiative to increase its own revenue generation through TV licence fee collection. “This incentive is not only a benefit to the NBC – it is also a way of giving back to the valuable customers of the NBC.” He also enticed the public that new shows will be introduced on NBC. “We have just brought you the AFCON soccer tournament and please do watch the space as we will introduce two locally produced talk shows and one is even in AFRIKAANS.”
