After three years of no action in the Davis Cup - Namibia is making a return to the competition this year.

A Namibian team last took part in the Cup competition in 2009, but will now compete again in Tunisia next month.

Last night in Windhoek a five member team to compete against six other countries was introduced to the media.

The occassion also coincided with a a clothing sponsorship hand over.

According to the President of the Namibia Tennis Association - Bob Mould - a lack of players to represent the country in the competition led to Namibia's withdrawal three years ago - but everything is back on track now with some youngsters showing interest to represent their country.

One of the companies that committed itself towards the team's upliftment is Sanlam Namibia - and according to its Business Development Manager Wikus Fourie - he expects the relationship to be a long term one.

The team will have its first match on the 1st of next month in Tunisia.
