Namibian sprinters - attached to Athletics Vision 2016 - produced their best performances on the European circuit in Hanover, Germany at the weekend.

The athletes - Globine Mayova, Tjipekapora Herunga, Hitjivirue Kaanjuka and Frank Puriza competed and passed their test in rainy and cold conditions.
After some eye-catching finishing times in their respective heats - Tjipekapora Herunga had the last laugh in the 200 metres.

Herunga blasted-away the field to win in 24-comma-13-seconds, followed by Sophie Zielonga and Victoria Sack of Germany in second and third places respectively.

Another top performer was Hitjivirue Kaanjuka who completed a double winning in the 100 and 200 metres, while his compatriot Frank Puriza ended 3rd and 4th in both races respectively.

In the 100 metre race - Globine Majova's winning time of 12-comma-7-seconds in her heat proved to be the winning time of the event in the end as she roped home in the final as well.

With the Olympic Qualification door closed - the vision still remains 2016 for the athletes to win something at the Olympics and the road to Brazil has already started, according to their trainer Letu Hamholo.

Herunga who will be the only of the foursome in London is expected to compete in her final 400 metre race in the Welsh International Grand-prix in Cardiff on Wednesday.
