The Mines and Energy Ministry has announced price increases for petrol and diesel, effective from Wednesday.
Leaded petrol will increase by 33 cents a litre, unleaded petrol will go up by 34 cents a litre, while diesel will increase by 25 cents a litre.
This will bring the Walvis Bay pump price of leaded petrol to nine dollars 96 cents per litre, unleaded petrol to ten dollars eight cents per litre, while diesel will be at ten dollars 38 cents per litre.
The ministry attributes the latest price increases to new economic sanctions imposed on Iran by the United States and European Union.
