Walvis Bay residents especially those living in the street of Johanna Benson, a winner of a Gold medal at the just ended Paralympics in London continue to celebrate her victory.
They say celebrations will continue until her arrival at that town.
Benson who hails from Walvis Bay put Namibia's name on the map after snatching a Gold Medal in the women's T37 200 metre final in London last Wednesday.
Johanna Benson lives in the 11-th Avenue at Sea-point, house-number-569-31 in the Kuisebmond residential area of Walvis Bay.
Upon our arrival at the parents house, we found all family members gathered at the house in a celebratory mood. The National flag could also be seen hoisted on the roof.
Posters of Namibia's Golden girl were also visible all over the street.
Adelheid Benson, Johanna's mother added that the whole family would travel to Windhoek tomorrow to welcome Johanna upon her arrival at the Hosea Kutako International Aiport.
This is what some of the residents had to say on Johanna's achievements.
