Workers of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation will go on strike at midnight tonight.

This follows a vote in favour of a strike by the majority of the employees over an increase in salaries and fringe benefits.

The notice to strike was issued on Monday and by four o'clock today the 48 hour notice period lapsed.

Representatives of the Namibia Public Workers Union, NAPWU, this afternoon informed workers of the rules of the strike.
