Mannetti proud of his team despite loss

Brave Warriors Coach Ricardo Mannetti is proud of the Brave Warriors' performance, despite the team being knocked out of the quarter finals of the 2018 African Championship against Morocco yesterday.
The Brave Warriors lost to the host Morocco by two goals to nil to end the team’s journey in the competition.
Coach Mannetti says the team’s overall performance during the tournament makes him satisfied with the work the boys put in.
“The fact that we were kicked out today is not bad. We qualified from a very strong group that had Ivory Coast, Morocco and Zambia in it. That makes me a very proud coach,” said Mannetti
He further said that the team had the host under control until they conceded the first goal.

“We brought back the defence that had not conceded a goal before the Zambia match and we also saw that they were good in the aerial balls to match Morocco, but unfortunately did not pay off,” added the Warriors Coach
The Warriors coach said that the team gives him hope for the future as they now know that there is a deep connection in the squad.
Mannetti thanked the Namibian Government and the Namibia Football Association for their support.
Mannetti also told NBC sport that he has time to prepare his team for the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers as those games have now been moved to September this year.
The Brave Warriors were supposed to play Zambia in March in their second game of the 2019 African Cup qualifiers.
But according to Coach Mannetti that game has been moved.
“Most of the African Countries that qualified for the World Cup have asked CAF to make those dates international friendly dates for all the African countries as they want to prepare.
As a result we will be looking for a friendly match on those dates to prepare us for the qualifiers that will start in September this year”
