More CAF Courses for NFA secretariat

Selected Namibian referees left for Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday to attend the CAF Referees Development Workshop from the 13 to 15 March.

Namibia Football Association (NFA) Referees Manager Absalom Goseb and National Referees Chairman Erastus Shilunga will also attend the workshop, which is part of the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) capacity building’ programme.

The workshop will be leveraging the skills of referees in Africa through sharing and exchanging of ideas; learning about each other; networking and connecting; standardizing the vision and looking for future collaborations between Member Associations and CAF.

Shilunga and Goseb are expected to deliver an eight (8) minutes presentation (with a Power Point), followed by two (2) minutes Q & A.

The presentation will cover the following topics: Organizational structure; committee and the department structure; number and categories of the referees,

The appointment system or criteria of selection of the international referees; main instructors assessors; follow up and evaluation system; development programs including youth and women; competitions will also be on the agenda.

Meanwhile NFA’s technical director Timo Tjongarero also left for Rabat, Morocco to attend the CAF Technical Directors' Seminar.

The course starts on Friday, 9 March. The objective of the seminar is to review the entire CAF Coaching Licensing System and align it with the other Confederations to obtain an equivalence agreement with them.

The meeting will also introduce a new CAF Coaching License Convention. Tjongarero will make a presentation on the activities within the NFA.
