Namibia and Zambia clinch quarter-final places

Namibia and Zambia both clinched places in the quarter-finals of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco, out of Group B of the tournament, last night.
It seemed that Ricardo Mannetti's strategy was to get the Ugandans to run around, and tire them out, as his team played deep in their own half, in the first half.
In the second half the Brave Warriors started to move forward and they constantly looked like they would create something on the counter-attack.
Uganda who were wasteful in front of goal were reduced to ten men when Tim Awanyi was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Panduleni Nekundi, and this proved to be a turning point in the match as the Brave Warriors used their numerical advantage to put more pressure on the Ugandans .
The Brave Warriors left it late once again as it was the case against Ivory Coast as they scored a last minute goal in injury time, through super sub Panduleni Nekundi.
That after Uganda failed to clear a ball he received from Itamunua Keimuine.
In the earlier game Augustine Mulenga was the hero for Zambia as he scored a goal in each half to secure a 2-0 win over Ivory Coast.
The results mean that Namibia and Zambia go head-to-head on Monday to decide who tops the group while Uganda and Ivory Coast are playing for pride, where after they will pack their bags for home.
