-Mayor of Windhoek Dr Job Amupanda has warned residents of the capital to exercise caution, remain vigilant and not to take risks during the rainy season, to avoid the loss of lives due to flood.
-The Roads Authority (RA) is requesting motorists to exercise extreme caution and to reduce their speed when travelling on the Otavi-Tsumeb road, specifically at the stretch some 18 kilometres to Tsumeb.
-The Minister of Works and Transport, John Mutorwa has called for extreme caution when transporting and handling of Manganese ore, to protect inhabitants and the environment.
-A Namibian Police Inspector based at Katima Mulilo died in a car crash on Saturday evening seven kilometres east of that town.
