Atrocities commited by Germany have all the hallmarks of a genocide - Michelle Muntefering

The atrocities commited by Germany against the Nama and OvaHerero from 1904 to 1908 have all the hallmarks of a genocide, says the German Deputy Foreign Minister, Michelle Muntefering.
The official ceremony marking the return, from Germany, of the third consignment of the remains of 27 victims of the 1904 to 1908 genocide against the OvaHerero and Nama, by German imperialist forces, has commenced at the Parliament Gardens in the capital.
She says they remain are deeply ashamed, and profusely apologise for the horendous acts, and remain steadfast in pursuing reconciliation between both nations.
Muntefering says they acknowledge the historical guilt against the victims, and will pursue all means to bring forth remaining all human remains still in the hands of Germany.
The clearly emotional Muntefering also denounced the racist acts of doing research on the remains, to distinguish if Europeans were superior to blacks, and wants to heal the wounds of the past.
She says all Europeans must learn from historical injustices and see Africa, with singular reference to Namibia, as a region with immense potential, driven by a vibrant youthful populace with a prosperous future.
