The high influx of applicants for fishing rights is putting the Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) office under pressure to merge its business registration services.
People have been flocking to their offices to convert, amend or register their companies.
Recently amended requirements by the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources are that all fishing rights interested parties should have a registered Proprietary Company (PTY).
NBC TV News spoke to Kapena Tjombonde, the executive for business registration services at BIPA.
