Botswana's health director Dr Malaki Tshipayagae has advised that all members of the Botswana parliament, including president and vice president, be placed under quarantine after a nurse who conducted tests on the parliamentarians yesterday, tested positive for COVID-19.
The health worker is one of seven new confirmed cases announced by Health and Wellness minister, Dr Lemogang Kwape.
Minister Kwape urged the nation to remain calm, and continue to take advice from health officials.
