Che Ulenga launches initiave urging vulnerable people to speak out against GBV

In light of the increasing violent crimes against women and children, media personality Che Ulenga launched an initiave urging individuals who are vulnerable to physical, emotional and sexual abuse to speak up and speak out.
"The physical, emotional and sexual abuse, mostly inflicted by men on women and children, and now more commonly by women to men affects all of us and must move any of us to speak up and speak out against this social ill," she said.
Ulenga, along with Namibian award winning artist Cassidy Karon, launched the campaign urging members of the public to spray paint or draw messages condeming gender-based violence on posters and leave it in their vicinity.
Part of the aim of the campaign is to encourage victims to speak up and seek assistance.
Recently, 2019 Namibian Annual Music Awards Best Female Artist of the Year, Lize Elhers also used Namibia's biggest entertainment platform to condemn sexual violence encouraging victims to speak up in a bid to curb the ever rising stastics.
