Church of Africa suspends all church services for two months

The Church of Africa has announced the suspension of all of its church services for two months due to COVID-19.
A statement from the church secretary general, Ileni Henguva says church activities will be suspended from 7 August until 3 October.
The church noted that because of the spike in the number of Coronavirus cases in the country, the leadership saw it fit to close the services as a way of curbing large gatherings and reduce the risk of infections.
The pastoral unit of the Church of Africa will, however, continue to attend to funeral services and to the sick with a limited number of congregants.
The church, therefore, commended Government's effort in combating the pandemic for which it expressed it's full support.
The Church of Africa has a large following in both Namibia and Botswana and it prescribes to the Martin Luther evangelical doctrine.
