The extended COVID-19 regulations will impact the Independence Day celebrations, on 21 March.
The current restrictions on public gatherings remain at 50 and should not exceed two hours.
The Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Peya Mushelenga said the format of the celebrations will be announced soon.
