Daughter kills father at Okakarara

The Namibian Police at Okakarara has arrested a 27-year-old woman on suspicion of her father's murder.
Police Spokesperson in the Otjozondjupa Region, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha says the suspect, who is heavily pregnant, has allegedly stabbed her father to death at Okakango residential area in Okakakara.
Mbeha says the 63-year-old man was allegedly stabbed between the shoulders, and died on the spot, at 22h00 on Monday night, at the family house.
Initial accounts from witnesses indicate that the suspect and her father were quarrelling about the way he allegedly used to treat his disabled wife.
The argument reportedly turned violent and resulted in the knife-death of the suspect's father.
Mbeha says the police has no record of domestic abuse involving the father and his wife, and the suspect had never reported her father for abuse.
The suspect is being detained in police custody as she awaits her first appearance on a charge of murder, at the town's magistrate's court later this week.
