Diminished demand for diamonds dwindle job opportunities

The Namibia Diamond Trading Company NDTC has sold N$26 billion worth of rough and polished diamonds since its inception in November 2007.
However, only about 1 500 jobs were created during that period, and have since reduced to about 1 000 as a result of poor global demand and commodity prices of rough diamonds.
