Drought is taking its toll in Oshana

Drought is taking its toll on animals in the Oshana Region. Carcasses of cattle are spotted in Oshanas as a result of severe drought.
On her tour to Oshana to assess the drought situation, Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila says Government is committed to minimise the effect of drought to see to it that nobody dies from hunger in the country.
Some weak and lean animals are unable to make it to the next rainy season and some have already succumbed to drought.
Animal fodder distribution by Government has not yet reached Uuvudhiya but plans are underway to see to it that animal feed are given to farmers to save their livestock.
