Education Minister Hanse-Himarwa's case postponed

The Windhoek High Court has postponed Minister Katrina Hanse-Himarwa's case to 29 October 2018.

The minister will plea to a charge of corruption and her trial will run until the 02 November 2018.
The Minister of education's case stems from the time when she was Governor of Hardap Region. Prosecution alleges that she corruptly used her office or position in 2014 for gratification. She allegedly also allocated housing units under the Mass Housing Project to relatives.

Judge Nate Ndauendapo will preside over Minister Hanse-Himarwa's trial when it starts later this year. Hanse-Himarwa is represented by Lawyer Sisa Namandje and Deputy Prosecutor General Edios Marondedze assisted by Salomon Kanyemba will lead the State's case against her.
