Environment Ministry deploys staff members to upgrade Etosha National Park

The Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) has taken a bold and rare step to cut cost by deploying its staff members, to upgrade and fence off the Etosha National Park boundary fence.
Through this initiative, it will be saving millions of dollars on contracting companies to do the work as it will now only spend about N$10 million as opposed to an estimated N$500 million if it were to use private contractors.
Minister Pohamba Shifeta launched the project over the weekend at Onanke Village bordering Etosha National Park.
