It is reported that a the Federation International Football Association (FIFA) fact-finding delegation has instructed the entire Namibia Football Association (NFA) leadership structure to be dissolved and a normalisation committee to be set up to organise the elections for the new leadership.
The Minister of Sport Erastus Uutoni confirmed to NBC that he met with the FIFA delegation and had a fruitful discussions on a number of issues regarding football in the country.
According to the minister, they made a number of proposals to the FIFA delegation.
In October this year, the NFA Executive Committee dismissed its President Frans Mbidi with immediate effect.
However, FIFA did not recognise the NFA's decision to suspend Mbidi.
In an interview with NBC last month, Mbidi said the NFA Secretariat has been captured and is thus compromising the organisation's operations.
Mbidi and former NFA secretary general Barry Rukoro have been embroiled in a power struggle since Mbidi became head of the country's football administrative body.
Meanwhile, efforts to get comments from Rukoro proved futile as he did not answer his phone while Frans Mbidi said there was nothing to dissolve because the leadership terms of office has come to an end already.
