Fishrot investigations far from over

Investigations into the Fishrot scandal involving former Cabinet ministers, seem to be far from over, as the lawyers representing the State and the accused persons could not agree on setting a trial date.
State Advocate Ed Marondedze, at the resumption of the hearing today, requested the Magistrate's Court for three more months to complete the investigations.
However, lawyers representing the accused objected to the postponement, accusing the State of playing delaying tactics.
Magistrate Ingrid Unengu will now rule next week Wednesday after hearing arguments from both parties.
