Five suicides reported

Three cases of murder committed over the weekend

Three cases of murder, five suicides, three culpable homicide and two rape as well as armed robbery and reckless and negligent driving were reported over the weekend.
The incidents were recorded by the police in nine regions across Namibia.
On Friday, Elvis Presley Rooinasie, aged 19, was stabbed to death by a 17-year-old suspect at the Greenwell Matongo residential area in Windhoek during an argument.
In the Hardap region, Milton Klassen died after he was stabbed with a screwdriver at Rehoboth's Block B suburb on Saturday.
The suspect has not yet been arrested. On Friday, Enrico Muinjo was found hanging from the roof of his shack in Windhoek's Katurura residential area.
In the Hardap region, Johannes Ambrosius Plaatjies was found hanging from the roof of his room at Farm Tafelkop near Gibeon on Saturday.
In the Oshikoto region, Nekongo Martin was found hanging from the roof of his house at Uukete village while Tangeni Ivula was found hanging from a tree at Epumbu village on Sunday morning.
Tobias Johanness was found hanging in his hut at Ongali village in the Oshana region on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, a 53-year-old woman was raped by a 20-year-old suspect at Oshifukwa village in the Oshikoto region on Friday.
On the same day, a 47-year-old man entered a house of a 44-year-old woman who is mentally retarded and had sexual intercourse with her at Eenhana in the Ohangwena region.
Two cases of culpable homicide were reported in the Kavango East and Ohangwena regions over the weekend.
