Founding President Sam Nujoma has rejected claims for ancestral land in the country, saying the land should belong to the state.
Nujoma says the first Land Conference in 1991 resolved that given the difficulties in redressing ancestral land, restitution of such claims is impossible and feels this issue should NOT be entertained.
The founding President was one of the first speakers to address the Second Land Conference currently underway in Windhoek.
