Four escape death in accident between bakkie, truck and train near Karibib

Four people escaped death in an accident that involved a bakkie, a truck and a train, 15 kilometres outside Karibib.
A statement released by the Erongo Police indicates that Gideon Iikela was travelling from Karibib to Usakos in a Kia bakkie when he suddenly experienced difficulties with his car's axle.
The car swerved and bumped into an oncoming Iveco truck which was travelling from Usakos to Karibib.
Petta Beukes, the driver of the Iveco, lost control of the truck which veered off the road and fell from the bridge onto the railway track.
An oncoming train crashed into the Iveco truck and crammed it under the bridge.
The drivers and passengers of the trucks and train survived the incident with minor injuries.
