Four murder suspects escape from Swakopmund holding cells

Four suspects escaped from the Swakopmund Police Station holding cells on Monday. According to a report by the Erongo regional crime investigations coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu, the four men escaped from custody after allegedly cutting the burglar bars of a holding cell with an unknown object.
Two of the escapees were in custody for a double murder case while the other two were in remand for murder and malicious damage to property.
The suspects are still at large. The four men who are from northern Namibia are suspected to be in the Khomas region. Investigations continue.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the men is urged to contact the nearest police station.
