A group of foreign journalists denied entry into Zimbabwe

A group of foreign journalists, including a news crew from the NBC, were denied entry into Zimbabwe on Thursday.
NBC's Chief Reporter, Jefta Tjihumino and senior Camera Operator, Hadley Mwashekeleh, were among six other journalists from Britain and China who were denied entry by immigration officials at the Harare International airport.
The journalists obtained the necessary work visas in South Africa and planned to cover the unfolding political situation in the country where uncertainty exists, following a partial military takeover of the Zimbabwean political leadership.
Immigration officials at the airport demanded to see the clearances of the journalists and then declared that no international journalists were allowed into Zimbabwe in view of the current political crisis.
The eight journalists were all deported back to their countries of origin and the NBC team is back home.
