The Hospitality Association of Namibia will hold its annual congress later this month.
Making the announcement, Chief Executive Officer of the Association, Gitta Paetzold, says the hospitality industry wants to see Namibia globally branded as a tourism destination.
Paetzoldt says hospitality is one sector that has a major positive impact on the entire Tourism Industry, as it employs many Namibians and ensures that visitors to the country are treated to the luxuries they expect.
The chief executive officer says that's why it is important that the upcoming congress should develop mechanisms for the improvement of the industry and maximising Namibia's income from it.
The occasion also saw companies and stakeholders making donations towards the association's upcoming congress.
The tourism and hospitality sector contributes significantly to Namibia's economy and is the fastest growing industry in the world.
