A senior Namibia Central Intelligence Service (NCIS) official suspected of having defrauded the agency of about N$17 million has committed suicide.
NamPol's Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Kauna Shikwambi confirmed the death of 56-year-old Paulus Shilunga.
He was found dead today in the passenger seat of a Toyota Land Cruiser double-cab in the area of Daan Viljoen, outside Windhoek.
He was arrested in August on 79 counts which include fraud, money laundering, theft and corruptly using his position for gratification.
