Jacob Zuma resigns as President of South Africa

Jacob Zuma on Wednesday resigned as President of South Africa after the ruling African National Congress (ANC) recalled him after nine years in power.
The 75-year-old reluctantly called it a day after an interview with SABC appeared earlier in the day where he asked what he did wrong to be recalled.
Pressure increased after deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa became president of the ANC in December 2017.
During his speech he said he did not fear exiting political office.
