Katutura State Hospital volunteers plea for permanent employment

Eighty-four volunteers at the Katutura State Hospital pleaded for permanent employment as they had been waiting for about two years now.
The volunteers, employed by Adaptic Investment, worked at the Katutura State Hospital for seven years, with a monthly salary of N$1 100.
However, their contracts were terminated in 2017.
The group is now appealing to the ministry to assist in this matter.
Last October, the group wrote a letter to the President's Office,
However, they were informed this year April, that the matter was referred to the Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr Kalumbi Shangula.
Deputy Executive Director in the Ministry, Bertha Katjivena received the petition on behalf of Dr Shangula.
Katjivena promised the group that the ministry would respond by this Friday.
