//Kharas Regional Council closes headquarters after spouse of employee test positive for COVID-19

The //Kharas Regional Council has closed its headquarters in Keetmanshoop, temporarily, after the spouse of one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.
In a media statement today, the council said its offices, including the Directorate of Education, Arts and Culture, which operates from the same premises, will be temporarily closed today and tomorrow.
The statement added that this will allow the premises to be disinfected.
The decision comes after a spouse of an employee of the council tested positive for COVID-19 last Friday. The affected staff member was immediately taken in for quarantine.
It further said the entire council premises will be disinfected and all services will resume on Wednesday.
