Land Reform Minister says farms leased to Russian national will benefit Namibia

Speaking in the National Assembly this afternoon, Land Reform Minister Uutoni Nujoma said government agreed to lease the four farms - measuring 17 385 hectares, to a Russian company - due to the massive developmental and economic potential, for the country.
Giving a Ministerial Statement in the National Assembly, Utoni Nujoma says government had initially refused to allow the company to buy the farms but then agreed to lease them out for a period of 99 years.
