Lawyers letters exchanged in Rundu councillors saga

Lawyers representing Swapo and three withdrawn Rundu town councillors have exchanged letters regarding the party's decision to recall them.
A lawyer representing Anastacia Shinduvi Antonio, Toini Hausiku and Isaak Kandingu wants SWAPO to reinstate them with immediate effect.
In a letter dated 14 February Kadhila Amoomo legal practitioners called the move unlawful and are demanding that the party will stop seeking their removal from office.
The are also demanding that the party will not persist with any action intended to enforce this decision.
Dirk Conradie of Conradie and Damaseb, representing Swapo, replied on 15 February asking for time to take instructions from his client.
NBC could not verify the authenticity of this letter.
He said Swapo Secretary General Sophia Shaningwa is out of town and ask for time until Tuesday to resolve the matter.
Kadhila Amoomo's repost on 15 February was that the decision to remove the councillors should not be implemented while the lawyer awaits instructions.
The Rundu Town councillors defied the directive by Shaningwa regarding the election of portfolio holders on the town council last week.
