Luderitz calls for additional electricity line from NamPower

The Luderitz Town Council is appealing to the Ministry of Mines and Energy to construct a second line from NamPower's substation, about 25 kilometres from the harbour town.
In an exclusive interview with NBC News, Luderitz Town Council's chief executive officer Reinhardt Ochs said NamPower currently only uses one line to supply electricity to the town, which presents a town-wide risk should it become faulty.
