Minister Obeth Kandjoze met heads of various ministries in Otjozondjupa Region at Otjiwarongo Thursday to discuss development in the region.
The Minister of Economic Planning and Director-General of the National Planning Commission is visiting national projects at Otjiwarongo and Tsumkwe constituencies over two days.
The Otjozondjupa Regional Council made presentations of projects it started between 2012 and last year during the meeting.
New projects identified at the meeting as needing funding from central Government are a referral hospital, schools, teachers' accommodation, channelling of services on resettlement farms and electrification.
Minister Kandjoze said he will consult all 14-regions while in the current portfolio in order for development planning to start from the ground up.
The minister said this would help get resources to where people's concerns are centred.
He said it is only through planning that Government's limited resources will be used optimally.
Kandjoze then toured sites where land is being serviced through public-private partnerships at Orwetoveni extension eight, ten and 12 in Otjiwarongo.
