Public transport from Kavango East after the festive season is not a problem this year, as the number of buses and minibuses from the region increased.
For the past three years, holidaymakers were stranded at the beginning of the year, as there were not enough vehicles to transport them.
The loading master at the Rundu rank, Brendon Katupisa told Nampa on Monday that this time in previous years, up to 200 holidaymakers have been left without transport to their respective destinations.
He said an increase in buses has solved the problem.
Katupisa said people have been travelling back to Windhoek, Walvis Bay, Oshakati, Tsumeb and Rosh Pinah, with ease, and there were no concerns about a shortage of transport.
A holidaymaker from Katima Mulilo in Zambezi Region, who celebrated the festive season in Rundu said the choices presented to commuters this year are plenty.
