Mourners converge at Muharukua’s home village

Mourners have converged at the home village of the late Kunene Governor, Angelika Muharukua.
Some travelled from as far as Okanguati and Ruacana to pay their last respects to the late Governor. They set up tents at Okatjetje village, in Opuwo, where Muharukua was born.
Various traditional rites and performances are being performed as part of the mourning.
Muharukua’s memorial service, that was to be held on Wednesday at Okatjetje village, has been postponed until further notice.
President Hage Geingob accorded Hero's status to the late Kunene governor following her death on 1 October in Windhoek.
