Namibia's boxer, Jonas Junius, has been temporarily released to weigh-in and prepare for tonight's fight.
The fight is scheduled for nine o'clock Namibian time, tonight.
There was no bail application but an application to secure freedom from custody of a responsible person or an entity.
The team's Chef de Mission, Jesse Scheekerling, told NBC News that the boxer's lawyers could not secure bail due to the seriousness of the case.
He noted that Junius, however, remains calm and collected ahead of the fight and that the team is doing everything it can to fight the allegations.
Junius was arrested by the Brazilian police over the weekend and kept in custody over charges of attempted rape and harassment of a cleaner in the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Village.
