Namibian delegation arrives for Mnangagwa inauguration

A Namibian delegation, led by Vice President Dr Nickey Iyambo, has arrived in the Zimbabwean capital, Harare, for the inauguration of that country's interim president.
Iyambo is accompanied by Founding President Sam Nujoma and his predecessor Hifikepunye Pohamba.
Retired Chief of the Defence Force, Lieutenant General Epafaras Ndaitwah and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi are also part of the delegation.
Both Iyambo and Nujoma stressed the importance of Namibia-Zimbabwe cooperation which dates back to the days of both countries’ liberation struggles.
The Vice President is representing President Hage Geingob at Friday’s inauguration of Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Mnangagwa is replacing President Robert Mugabe who resigned on Tuesday after a 37-year stint in power.
