Namibians asked to stop giving street kids money

Government expressed concern over people handing out money to street children as it encourages them to beg and live on the streets.
The Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, Doreen Sioka, raised the issued at a media briefing. She said street kids can make up to N$200 a day, which in most instances are not used to buy food, but drugs including glue and petrol, to which they are hooked on.
