Namibia's 16th COVID-19 death is an 84-year-old woman

Namibia's death toll from COVID-19 now stands at 16 after an 84-year-old woman succumbed to the virus in Windhoek.
Health Minister, Dr Kalumbi Shangula announced this today.
"She was admitted to a local hospital for surgery. She also presented with COVID-19 symptoms and was tested on 1 August. On 2 August her condition worsened and she passed on. Her COVID-19 results came out positive last night. She has been in Windhoek for about four months," said Shangula.
He expressed condolences to the family of the deceased.
