Namibia's Marula festival recognised on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage for Humanity

UNESCO Representative to Namibia Dr Jean Pierre Iiboudo is happy that Oshituthi shOmagongo, or Marula festival was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage for Humanity.
This is the first Namibian 'intangible cultural heritage element' to be inscribed on the prestigious list .
