!Nami#nus Constituency hosts annual review meeting with key stakeholders

As part of ongoing efforts to ensure that developmental projects are implemented, the !Nami#nus Constituency hosted its annual review meeting with key stakeholders at Luderitz, recently.
At the occasion, the !Nami#nus Constituency Councillor Jan Scholtz called for an increased synergies between public and the private sector.
Scholtz, who is also Chairperson of the //Kharas Regional Council said, "we as Namibians residing and operating in the constituency have a joint vision: attainment of the development goals so that we can do our part in the eradication of poverty and the steady growth of the nation."
He said that effective governance is crucial if Namibia is to achieve the developmental goals set in the Harambee Prosperity Plan.
"The Harambee Prosperity Plan, under the pillar of effective governance, calls for accountability and transparency, which in turn leads to improved service delivery. This mandate is applicable across all facets of the Namibian economic landscape," said Scholtz.
The meeting reflected on the achievements and the challenges of the constituency during the past eight months.
Apart from line ministries using the platform to present their activities, the private sector also presented a number of projects aimed at improving livelihoods of the inhabitants in the constituency.
