NAPPA clinic re-launched at Katima Mulilo

NAPPA clinic re-launch Katima Mulilo

The Namibia Planned Parenthood Association, NAPPA, has provided family planning to more than 9 000 young people in the Zambezi Region since 2015.
Its Executive Director, Bravo Linosi says the association has also done more than 2 000 HIV status tests during that period.
NAPPA opened its doors at Katima Mulilo in 2009 and provides information to young people on family planning, HIV testing, the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases and cervical cancer screening among others.
All this is done free of charge. Linosi made the comments at the official re-launch of the NAPPA clinic at Katima Mulilo two-days ago.
Zambezi Governor Alufea Sampofu noted that NAPPA services are crucial in the Zambezi Region where the HIV prevalence rate of 23% is the highest in Namibia.
