NBC, e-Swatini Television Authority sign agreement to exchange expertise

Namibia's national broadcaster and its e-Swatini counterpart have entered into an agreement to exchange expertise in broadcasting.
Leaders of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) and e-Swatini Television Authority (ETA) signed the co-operation agreement in Windhoek Monday.
The agreement provides for among others, the sharing of television content, access to feeds, exchange of news, reports and films.
It further creates a platform to partner and share content on historical and national key events in Namibia and e-Swatini.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, NBC Director General Stanley Similo said a team of broadcast experts from NBC will visit e-Swatini to learn from their counterparts.
He encouraged circulation of information to boost industries, stressing that no country in sub-Saharan Africa should exist in isolation.
ETA Chief Executive Officer Bongani Dlamini said the switch from analogue television to Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) has increased the need for more television content, prompting the signing of the partnership.
The agreement took immediate effect.
