The National Equitable Economic Empowerment Framework (NEEEF) should bring transformation and restructuring to Namibia's economy.
Re-elected President of the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) Sven Thieme made the remark at the Annual General Meeting on Friday.
Thieme said the NCCI shared the concern about racial economic inequalities in society and it totally disapproved it.
He maintained the chamber's position that it needed effective policies and legislations that could correct the socio-economic imbalances of the past.
The NEEEF Bill of 2015 consists of policies designed to restructure the private business sector to achieve equity in the economic ownership of productive assets.
It will require a change in policies for the allocation of the rights of exploration of natural resources and the value-addition to increase benefits through job-creation.
The NCCI has additional proposals which it wants included into the Bill.
Thieme urged the NEEEF to help create decent jobs, opportunity for education for the young, which does not create a mentality of entitlement.
Saara Naanda was elected NCCI deputy president.
