The Namibian Correctional Service (NCS) has announced a change of uniform for its male offenders.
All male inmates will now wear an orange colour uniform as the institution abandons the green uniform.
The new uniform for the offenders is being manufactured at the Windhoek Correctional Facility by the inmates themselves.
The Namibian inmate population has since before independence worn the green uniform.
Correctional authorities say that one of the reasons for the change of colour is that it is too close to that of the uniforms of officials.
